Heya, folks! Lumpz the Clown here, and HOLY SHIT, I’ve been busy! Aside from the typical antics, I’ve been working hard on multiple projects, which include an article for GameSkinny and an indie game showcase featuring the excellent work of Locomalito! I may not have been able to attend PAX East, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been slacking! So…where do I begin?
The majority of my weekend was spent working hard on my Locomalito interview and video game showcase, which went live on Gaming Rebellion today! Much props to fellow Rebel Nate Rowe for the bomb-ass images! Locomalito was kind enough to answer a few questions for Gaming Rebellion regarding his vision, aspirations for the future, and tips for budding game developers! Aside from the showcase video of each available game, narrated by Yours Truly, there are download links available for each game at the bottom of the article! Gaming Rebellion will be hosting these games in the future for your convenience, so stay tuned for when that drops!
Fun Fact: the Locomalito Indie Game Showcase marks only the 2nd (and, perhaps, last) time that I’ve used Windows Movie Maker as my editing program! Recording narration was the easy part, but I learned the hard way that Movie Maker only allows for a limited number of audio clips within a project! Ultimately, I had to export/import three separate times to make this video happen, but it was a labor of love, and I hope you all enjoy it!
Yup! It’s all going down in flames!
Aside from narration and editing, I also written an article for GameSkinny entitled “AAA Companies: Be Afraid, Very Afraid“. Give it a peep for the gory details, but the basic premise is that non-gaming investors have long squeezed the balls of CEOs, who then transfer the shit onto their overworked and absolutely powerless developers, who continue to create the same franchises year after year after year after year after….you get the idea! The article went through a few renditions, and is now featured on GameSkinny’s Culture page! Give it a peep for some of that righteous, clowny FIRE and general disdain of everything corporate!
So what does the future hold? I’ll more than likely be streaming this weekend (Saturday, 4PM MST) and have been leaning either towards a 2 hour retrogaming marathon or continuing Manhunt! After the 12 hour ordeal I went through to make the Locomalito video happen, I’ll be taking a break from editing this weekend and getting in some serious game time! The old school is calling my name, and I gotta make it happen!
After this much-needed break, I’ll be returning to create some more original content for multiple communities, including Gaming Rebellion, ScrewAttack and GameSkinny, as well as more infographics! Got some good ideas in the pipeline, so you’d be a damn fool to miss any of it! As usual, if you have a retrogaming or indie infographic to share that you’d like featured on Lumpz the Clown Entertainment, let me know!
It’s all about the love of video games, and I’m here to deliver the goods now and well into the future! Follow me on Twitter to keep up-to-date on what moves I’ll be making next!
Well, that’s all I have for this update! Until next time, fellow gamers, and Lumpz the Clown OUT!
