Wow…today was absolutely AMAZING! I literally spent it doing nothing but GAMING SHIT! Here’s how it went down:
First off, I sat in as a guest host on the amazing CAPMAX HYPECAST, hosted by my good friend Steven Eidher! Also present was the insightful and intelligent P2 of Cartridge Bros., and the hilarious JRock, who I seem to have more in common with than I thought I did! 🙂
After a thriving discussion on all topics leading back to poop, we got down to the nitty-gritty: YouTube or Twitch? Steven and I have a TON of experience with Twitch, but JRock and P2 primarily stick with YouTube, but which platform is better? Are they both equal? Guess you’ll have to listen to the podcast when it comes out!
Right after, I set up for one of my most terrifying livestreams to date: Five Nights at Freddy’s 2! What made this extremely significant is that: 1) I haven’t livestreamed in over 3 months, and 2) I haven’t given Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 a real try! Needless to say, I died many times, but I learned a lot of different strategies that will surely help me later when I get the guts to try and get past Night 4!
Some of my good Twitter buddies showed up for the occasion, such as Arcade Android, James Fn Panic, Lord Hades, Unstoppabull 360 and many others who simply hung out and watched me get my ass handed to me! The level of support has been humbling and has spurred me to make an announcement regarding the future of Lumpz the Clown Entertainment!
First off, I will be doing BI-WEEKLY livestreams every Saturday, commencing at 4PM MST! If you don’t know what time that is for where you’re at, I’d suggest looking here! I will be streaming for roughly 2 hours each time I go in, and I will attempt to master whatever game I’m playing! My previous schedule was too aggressive and cut into some of my more creative and elaborate projects, but I truly enjoy the feeling of community that I experience when I stream, so this is a happy middle ground and I can’t wait to get back to it!
I was inspired by my good friend BenevolentDickNes to try and play Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers for the NES in 2-player mode using only ONE CONTROLLER, seeing how far I could get in 1 hour! Needless to say, I got spanked yet again! But it did teach me one thing: NEVER FORGET WHERE YOU CAME FROM! Kudos to you, Bene! You’re the MAN! 🙂
In light of this revelation, I have updated my playlists on my YouTube channel to include Indie Game LPs, Retro Game LPs, and Live Streams! Plus, I will be playing more retro games in the future, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open! For the ones who couldn’t make it to my stream earlier, I will be including my run of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 in its entirety (unless YouTube squeals too much at the size of my 2 HOUR RUN IN HD)! 🙂
As for Indie games, I got the chance to LP an amazing, upcoming SHMUP: Dimension Drive for the PC! David and Alejandro are developers at 2Awesome Studio, work at the ESA, and invited us at Gaming Rebellion to interview them! I was appointed the project, so not only did I ask them the questions burning in everyone’s minds, but I also LPed their amazing game! I thank both David and Alejandro for their time AND for making this amazing game! The interview and LP can be found here!
As for Gaming Rebellion, we are stronger than ever and I am so glad to be a part of such an amazing community. From the contributors to the editors to my fellow admins, we are strong in our own respective projects, but a JUGGERNAUT POWERHOUSE when we all get together! I salute everyone there and look forward to the future! If you are interested in posting your content to our Community Section, get on it because we are looking for contributors and will help promote it! What do you have to lose?! 🙂
I’ve also been looking to take my own writing into a different direction, and that is where fellow Rebel Brett Jareske and TheKohlrabi come into play! I’ve always wanted to write satire, but kind of bring my own spin to the genre. My goal has never been to divide, but unite, and it will be apparent after reading any contributions I bring to the site! I’m excited to be a part of it, and hope that it helps folks to remember that when the shit hits the fan, all you can do sometimes is laugh it off!
Lumpz the Clown Entertainment is growing, my friends, but it wouldn’t be possible without all of your love and support! You all get the LUMPZ THE CLOWN STAMP OF APPROVAL! 🙂 Lumpz the Clown OUT!
